Exam Results...

Lately I have received my exam results and well... I have not been able to score good results. In fact, I have scored a shockingly high Mean Subject Grade of 3.3!!!!!! I can't believe it! If I'm not wrong, I have been " pulled down" by my Infocomm Studies, or IS for short. What I am really disappointed about however, is the terrible subject grade for my English. I actually got C5. Wel, there are probably certain things I can do to improve my grade. For instance:
* Read more literature passages so as to practice reading between the lines
* Look through past annotations to see if additional annotations can be made.
* Search Internet for information and other things like themes and hence add to the past annnotations.
* Do more comprehension passages to further enhance the skill of answering literature and essay answers.
* Purchase books on Situational Writing so as to improve oneself in letter writing.

I am rather disappointed as english was supposed to be one of my stronger subjects. I shall work harder, following whatever mentioned above, to improve my subject grade and strive to ace my English.

Cheaper Food?

SINGAPORE: The economic crisis might not mean lower business for everyone.
For the past two months, a stall at Toa Payoh had seen its business increase by more than 50 per cent.
It is one of the many stalls enjoying good business at Toa Payoh Lorong 7.
The stall sold a plate of rice with meat, fish and vegetables for S$2.20.
But its stall owner said this price was the lowest it could go.
Many of its customers were from the low income group.
And thanks to the cooked food stall, the drinks stall nearby is also enjoying better business.

As shown in the above article, expensive food is not what has the most business. So what if it is hawker food? So what if it is rather low class in some people's eyes? It is what helps us to save money in our economic crisis! Imagine, With more money saved, it means that more money can be used to try and save the current economic crisis. Experts have believed that the crisis will carry out through 2010. If that is so, then all the more we must save money. Also, EXPENSIVE does not = GOOD. I have once been to a science fair and one group of students went to experiment to see if EXPENSIVE = GOOD. They made used of different brands of glue at different prices and used them on different thumbtacks. They were then stuck to a wall. Apparantly, the cheapest brand of glue actually held on to the thumbtack the longest. Conclusion: EXPENXIVE does not = GOOD

New Plane Duds

Some of you may be familiar with the F-117 Nighthawk, which was the U.S. top military leader in airborne stealth combat but it waas retired in April 2008 and was replaced by what I am going to talk about today-the F-22 Raptor. So what's so amazing about this new plane? Read on.First of all, it has the new Radar Cross Section which is comparable to the size of a marble appearing on the enemy plane's screen. There's still more. The Raptor's smart designs include:

-twin supercooled turbine engines that enable it to jump to Mach speeds, which is the speed of sound-1,225 kilometres per hour without using fuel-guzzling and position-revealing afterburners.
-intakes aligned with wing edges and nozzles that deprive longer-wavelength radars of a precise they could previously lock on to.
-all tracking and electromagnetic-emitting sensors.
-weapons contained inside the body, not bristling from the wings.
-is "Beyond Visual Range" combat ready, meaning it can lock to a target, fire and flee before the target even knows its a target.

This Plane is probably the coolest that I have seen so far. Having its weapons inside the plane's body will enable the plane to fly more efficiently. The twin turbines will probably help the plane to fly to its destination in case of an emegency as quickly as possible. However, if this plane falls into the wrong hands, there will be trouble as this plane is able to wreak havoc. The person shall the nbe able to take over certain places with force. The inventors should learn to protect their technology and strive to use it against invasions.
